Three Little Friends

I was gathering my stuff together to leave for work this morning and had to stop and laugh. I now have three mechanical devices, each approximately the size of a pack of playing cards, each with a black body/case, which go with me almost every time I leave the house. I don't usually anthropomorphize inanimate objects, but each of these has gained a nickname:

1. My cell phone/data device, commonly known as the Gadget

2. My ipod, Shiny

3. My GPS, which I am have decided to call "Majel" because it helps me navigate by talking to me in a pleasant alto voice


I am becoming a hopelessly spoiled techno-geek.

I have logged in and out of LJ multiple times, left comments, added a friend by clicking an email link. . . and everything seems fine.

Are my access problems finally solved?

Only time will tell. . .

Techno Fail

Apparently if I had simply tried doing a "refresh" when I got those error messages when I tried to access LJ from my gadget, asking it to refresh the page in question (you know: prompt it to connect to the new server instead of what it had cached), my access problems would have been over weeks ago.

Arrrgggghh!


To make matters worse: I found this out by accident. None of the "Help" folks even suggested this.

Last Night's Comment from Herself

Every time you feel an ache of loneliness, desire, or frustration, it should motivate you to apply yourself more consistently to your practices.

The path to everything I want that's most important to me is my priestess path.

Yes, there are additional things I need to do to reach some goals, but without the foundation of my practices/the Work, there will always be something lacking, aspects of myself that are not developed extensively enough to reach my full potential. . . and that which I love most deeply will remain achingly beyond my reach.

More Middle Pillar

It's my breath, my focus. . . and some of my energy. . . but this is The Tree of Life I'm working with. As the magus said: "Don't try to top it from the bottom."

I relaxed more tonight, was more yin, focusing on the fact that these energies already flow through me. I don't make this happen, I open my awareness, sharpen my focus, clear obstacles, get myself out of the way. (See: Don't top from the bottom, above.)

I also keyed in this evening to the awareness that the Spheres of the Middle Pillar don't exist in isolation. They are connected by Paths. Even though I haven't yet memorized the names and the attributes of the Paths, just seeing the energy flowing downwared through the Paths rather than having nothing between the Spheres was very helpful.


And: I did all my practices tonight and worked on my Tree of Life notebook -- even though I also watched a movie this evening. Go me!
