Since "feral" and "community" don't intersect easily
As someone who identifies strongly with the animalistic side of the psyche and spends a lot of time among people who also identify in such a manner... I'd say a potential connection of feral and community would be pack, herd, pride, flock.
Just one thought. Your suggestion seems pretty astute to me. :>
(OK, the icon made that an easy association, but still it occurred to me as an example of a feral being who participated in community on his own terms. Not the Walt Dismal Bagheera, the real one in Kipling.)
I love the thought of Bagheera as a role model. He was friendly with the wolves, was nurturing (after his own fashion), and he was a good teacher with a broad wisdom about all the peoples of the jungle.

As with the Swords aspect, it's not that I have to deny that part of me, it's that I need to make room for other aspects and possibilities to emerge.
