Elemental Update

We're having a "10-Year Flood" in my city: highest rainfall in a decade, lots of rivers flooding.

My basement home is dry. The water in my drain is low.

And I believe that I owe this to the few centimeters of concrete that my Ex built up at the top of my stairs this past summer, which is keeping the water from flowing freely down into my porch area, into my drain-with-no-outlet, and then into my home.
