QoS: Daimon, you’ve never walked the road of spirituality with me.

Daimon: You never asked me.

QoS: < blink >

Daimon: Whether thou goest, I will go – so long as you are true to yourself. If this is part of your path, of course I will go with you, and love you every step of the way. You have never believed I could follow you here. It is not that I ever refused to come.

QoS: < remembering a scene from Seonaid's story, in which the daimonic character went to a chapel to wrestle with his desire for a member of another religion, having his own faith standing in the way of union with his beloved >

Daimon: I have never been a priest for you – but I can be. For all your study of sacred sex, all your learning, you have still separated spirit from sensuality and passion.

QoS: They have always been separate for me.

Daimon: We will change that.

I hope you'll take this as a compliment, because it is intended as such.

I've come back and read this several times since you posted it. It is lovely and intriguing, but I'm not sure what's going on. Is Daimon a real person, with a history I'd need to know to understand this, or is this a symbolic internal discussion? Either way it is wonderful, but I'm not certain of your meaning.

Thank you for sharing it though.

Thanks for asking.

The background is actually a couple of entries down in my entry: "Missing: My Glorious Shadow."

I'm using "Daimon" in the sense explored by Caitlin Matthews in her book In Search of Woman's Passionate Soul: the inner masculine spirit/muse who is (or can be) inspiration, teacher, inner lover, initiator, etc. for a woman. I'm in a transition right now that involves various aspects of my internal landscape and identities, including my relationship with my daimon - who is evidently poised to take on a new role.

Ah. Much clearer now.

So you noted that the land was dormant just before something new showed up? Wonderful, that.
