Game Stuff
Jun. 7th, 2004 06:12 amLooks like our GM du jour, who was supposed to run a Pax Draconis game for my group this coming Saturday, has email problems that prevented his "Sorry, gang but I can't make it that day" email from getting to the rest of us.
Since I've finished my ethics class and have copious free time at work, I'll be putting together a "Swashbuckling Adventures" scenario (originally the 7th Sea game) for Saturday. It will be the fastest I've ever tried to put something together.
It's going to be a one-shot (beginning, middle and end all in one session), set at a fancy party in Castille (Spain), so I'm looking for non-player characters and plot devices appropriate to that setting: purloined letters, thwarted lovers, mistaken identities, and etc. (Think Zorro and the Three Musketeeers for genre conventions.) I want to keep it light, so no heavy politics or murder mysteries. My last game, a confrontation with pirates who had invaded a town under the protection of the PCs' family, got far more dark and upsetting than I had intended.
Lots of plot, lots of fizz -- it should be a fun way to spend the week.
