It's Only a Multiple Personality Disorder. . .

. . . if they don't get along with each other.

I just left a comment in thomryng's journal relating to novels we're both working on. I was thinking about, and intending to select, the "Seonaid" icon (the one with this post), which represents the protagonist of my novel. Thinking "Seonaid," I actually selected "Deidre" - a photo of Julia Ormond that I've used for a couple of years to represent my Star Wars universe RPG character.

The thing is, on some level they're both me in a way none of my other public characters are. Conflating them like that seems weirdly significant this morning.

It could just be lack of sleep.

Water

It turns out that the problem with my bathroom water was a side-effect of some work done on the main line near our house. The Ex had called City Water about how to shut off the water temporarily so he could fix a chronic faucet leak in his tub. They installed a new valve, and the result was gunk in the waterline. Running it clear seems to have done the trick to 'fix' it.

I found this out *after* I ended up going to work without a shower or washed hair this morning.
