Pagan-Kink Negotiations

Lucius and I have a date Friday night that will probably involve comparing the contents of our toybags and doing some experimenting, so I sent him an email this afternoon asking if he wanted to start the negotiation conversation now to save time.

The last item on my hard limits list is:

* No invoking deities except by prior agreement.

And yes I include this because of actual past experiences.

The one time it happened with LM and me, he invoked Freyja -- in response to a suggestion I made -- but we were in the midst of a very intense scene, and it was not a particularly wise thing to do. It ended up okay, but it could have gone differently.

Well, as I just wrote to Rin, at about the same moment as you were writing this comment, my prior experience was with LM spontaneously invoking Freyja, and it ended up okay -- but it's really not something that should be done on the spur of the moment.

I know you are serious, but that item made me giggle. My sexuality has been SO FAR REMOVED from my spirituality my entire life that I can only dream of combining the two, right now. (Of course much of my problem right now is my being aspiritual; I cannot combine sexuality with something that is all but nonexistent in my life, now can I?)

I've always felt that my spirituality and my sexuality belonged together, but I was 42 before they actually came together for me.

So long as you are getting pleasure, fulfillment, fun, and nurture out of your sexual life, I'd call that sacred.
