Note to Self: It's Not About the Woo-Woo
Nov. 2nd, 2007 06:15 amDuring my meditation this morning I had an important realization: at this time, my practice isn't about "woo-woo" for the sake of doing woo-woo. The point of the practice is to ground me and energize me and enrich me so that I will be better able to apply my existing gifts and talents in the world.
Maybe one day I will become accomplished with various magical-priestessesy techniques, and then I will have more ways in which to take meaningful action -- but that's for the future.
Right now it's about being the priestess I am, where I am, with what I've got -- and doing that well.

Besides, my new Lady is making it clear that I'm going to be focusing a lot more tightly in the immediate future. This morning during my meditation she hooked her fingers through my collar, pulled me close and said with one of her scary smiles, "This is where you go deep."
