I had a fantastic, quiet, deeply healing, rich time on my retreat.

Once I closed the door on Thursday afternoon, I didn't leave the house again until Sunday morning when it was time to go. . . but the cabin had those huge, gorgeous windows and places to open windows to let fresh air in. . .   I did a lot of reading and writing and thinking and praying and processing.

Being away from the internet was wonderful. I did miss being able to reach out and connect with people, but it was blissful to not have any contact with the news or current events.

I keep connecting more and more deeply with Odin. He helped me center myself more in my current purposes, prioritize the huge amount of projects I want to work on, and generally help me feel even more like myself. I had also taken Monday off as a settling-back-in/reintegration day, and was able to complete a project step I've been flinching away from for almost a year now -- which is huge. I feel more confident, more capable, and again. . . more me. Which is wonderful. More details perhaps to follow.

Even though I am dedicated to the Divine Mother, Odin and some of the other Norse Gods and Goddesses have been a special part of my journey. Maybe because my mom was from Sweden, I have a connection to these deities. Have you ever read the poems Galina Krasskova wrote for Odin as his devotee? I can't find my copy. Wonder if its still in print.

PS- I looked it up cuz I wasn't sure if its in print. It is. Here's the book: The Whisperings of Woden

I want to stay in a hotel for a weekend as a private retreat. It sounds like you had a productive time.

I love Galina's prayer cards. I have several. I think I need to upload a user icon of Odin now. And I will do Frigga while I'm at it.

I have to look into Galina's more recent books. I have all her earliest ones. I keep losing the "novena" to Eir that she published. I guess Someone is saying, "not yet". I was so excited when I found it one day and literally halv an hour later I lost it again. I can't find it anywhere. I suspect it fell behind my book shelf, but finding it will be a major exertion with the amount of books I'll have to move. I may just buy another copy!!!

She is an amazing woman. Very inspirational.
