The Men Who Stare At Goats is about warrior-monks with psychic powers, who call themselves Jedis over and over again. But the movie's structure also echoes the original Star Wars trilogy, and it's full of fun Lucas riffs. .


I was looking forward to seeing this movie anyway, but this article means that I must go!

Yes--likewise, I had been rather interested in seeing this after viewing a few trailers on television during October while I was in Anacortes. Now I'm dying to see it, and will perhaps make it my one cinema visit of the next few months (though I will probably avail myself of the cinema a lot in Ann Arbor, as the weather will be crappy and I won't have an extensive social network...I saw loads of films in the cinemas in Oxford and Ireland while I lived in those places), and perhaps I'll even go over the weekend as a break (or pre-emptive reward) from the indexing...!?!

You are a very bad person. Now I have to go see this movie. 'Cause George Clooney and Kevin Spacey and Jeff Bridges. And Robert Patrick while we're at it. And as if that's not enough, toss in Steven Root. zomg. I really don't want to see a movie called The Men Who Stare at Goats. But I don't seem to have a lot of choice.
