I feel utterly gray and empty inside, and am stuck at my soul-numbing temp job for another 2+ hours.

Morale-raising messages and objects of beauty -- images, poetry, etc. -- would be most welcome.

I've been doing self-help, but most of the energy just drains down the gray vortex.

ETA: Getting out for a walk in the sunshine and crisp air helped a lot. I don't feel like I'm dying inside anymore. . . .

Wonder if your vortex is a spin-off (!) of mine...

I recently discovered the work of an artist whose work I think is quite beautiful.

Alternately, for a quick dose of maximum cute, there's this with a cat and a fennec fox and this vid of two otters.

I can't look at the vids here, but the artist is beautiful -- a perfect antidote to what I'm looking at for my job.

Thank you!

Its pretty outside and you ARE the Queen of Autumn! Don't hibernate! Get a little air if you can, if not here's a webcam link to the reat Smoky Mountains National Park. Lots of other cams on this site... http://www.nature.nps.gov/air/webcams/parks/grsmcam/grsmcam.cfm

Beautiful! Thank you, Red.

And yes, I have a break coming up in a few minutes and I'm going to head outside for a stroll.

I second the taking a bit of a zip outside for some fresh air, and for the reinforcing of your personal shields and boundaries ... setting them so that only the good, true and beautiful gets in. Then you can continue the job, and it won't be able to soul suck. It might be tedious or heartwrenching, but it won't be able to get your power.

Heading outside for my break right now. I'll try to reinforce my shields while I'm outside. . . but I think the core issue is deeper than the job. . .

I'm working on designing two workshops for Pantheacon...

one for the Waldorf program and one for Basic Releasing. (it's a New moon, presidents' day weekend!)

I've never written a program offering before. I am so excited!
