One of the things I find interesting about Firefly is that while I like all the characters, there's not a particular one with whom I feel a particular affinity. But I think this answer is better than the last one I posted, since I feel more like Book than River.

You like Firefly too? Hurray! I loved that show and am eagerly awaiting the movie.

You must have missed my intro to Firefly a few months ago. I burbled about it for a couple of days on LJ. I was a late convert, only watching an episode when a friend in my gaming group brought his DVD's and insisted we watch a couple of episodes.

My group is now starting a Pax Draconis game, and I'm modeling my character on Zoe.

QOS--Oh, far out! I liked Zoe a lot. Heck, I liked all of the, even Jayne, though River and Malcolm were my favorites.

I loved the whole River plotline and discovering that Book is a LOT more than he appears--though we don't know exactly what.

I'm told that, on the DVD's, the episodes are shown in the order in which they were meant to be seen, rather than in the order they aired, so the whole thing makes a lot more sense on the DVD.

They had some great lines on that show, too.

The DVD's do have the episodes in order, and that makes a big difference, especially in regards to River and Simon. We see River slowly changing, and the shifts in her and Simon's relationships with the rest of the crew.

If you don't have the DVD's you should get them!

Book was my favorite of them all.
