Be Very Afraid

Wolfling, who turns 13 on Tuesday, has started salsa dancing.

She was taken to a ballroom by a friend of her stepmother, and now is absolutely ga-ga over it.

I talked with her dad on the phone yesterday, and he was telling me that she evidently spent the whole evening dancing.

"With boys?" I asked.

"Yes, with boys," he replied, amused.

From the background, I heard her call "Only nine of them!"

I don't think I've danced with nine different males in my entire life.


The nice thing is that she wants me to go with them the next time.

And you know what? I'm looking forward to it.

My first thought when I read this was Hmmm. . . You and I share a lot of similarities of intellect, sexuality, spiritual orientation, and even physical resemblance. I suppose you could try to negotiate with my Ex for a genetic donation. . .

I'm delighted! She hasn't shown an interest in anything but WoW and fanfic for a while. And I would love to learn to dance.

Hell, I think I've only danced with three males in my life. One of them being my current partner. :S
