The place I went -- which is a women's clinic at a major medical university -- has a high tech scanner. There's still some pressure involved, because the tissue needs to be flat and smooth -- but it's not a huge metal torture device. The pressure plate on this scanner was clear plastic, not cold, and not painful. (And I have reasonably large breasts.) The female technician was careful and friendly. It wasn't painful at all.
I have... bigger breasts as well and thats always freaked me out. And when I get really freaked out I wonder if they'll like.. pop under the pressure. ;_; Of course I know thats not rational but yeah. XD I never really knew what the machines were like, or if they had changed.
I did wonder recently how I'll experience my first mammogram, now that I'm into *ahem* recreational activities involving extreme sensations in that area.
I've wondered the same thing (or related things) from time to time, but I've yet to have a reaction like the one to which you allude.
For me there are two elements in play. First, I don't have a medical fetish (quite the contrary!). Second, I've never been in the care of a medical professional who projected the kind of erotic dominant energy that would trigger that sensibility in me.
Being asked about family history of breast cancer -- given my answers to the questions -- also contributed, I'm sure.
