It Wasn't Just Me

I called my replacement this afternoon, and was treated to a good ten-minute vent about Miss V, using the same language I did: condescending, snippy, out of line. She talked about how an incidednt this morning had thrown her totally off balance, how her attempts to clarify things had only resulted in more condescension, bossiness and general unpleasantness.

All I could say was "I know exactly what you mean."

Two weeks ago, The New Admin's attitude was "So long as she's good at her job, I can make it work." Now, she's saying that this could cause her to leave the job, even though she loves Dave.

I advised her to get the other new admin, and both their bosses, and have a confrontation with Miss V's boss. Unless he comes down hard on her, there's not going to be change.

I'm not happy that someone else is suffering the slings and arrows of the outrageous Miss V -- but I do have to admit that it's nice to know that I'm not the only one to be reduced to frustration and helplessness by her.

I am so glad I'm elsewhere!

Ms. V must be an unhappy person deep inside. I wish she'd get help and stop taking it out on the rest of the world.
