Last left my notebook at work. You know, the one with my boarding pass and a lot of class notes. I picked it up this morning on my way to the airport.

My flight left on time, went smoothly. I found [livejournal.com profile] oakmouse immediately at the hotel. When I checked in, I couldn't find my debit card. Evidently I'd been in such a rush, and so tripped out about the large cash withdrawl I'd made at the ATM, I left my debit card behind.

Fortunately, I have other cards I can use, but the debit card is my basic survival card.

At the moment I'm in the back of an SUV being driven by a friendly, vulgar madman -- with 16 minutes left to reach the local branch of my bank and cash a large check to get me through the weekend.

Heck of a start to the weekend!

Thank goodness for Oakmouse and friend!

ETA: Got to the bank with 5 minutes to spare!

It really is part of his character, though. And I suspect if I told him that you described the way he behaved during the drive with those words, he'd be thoroughly amused.

However, that said, if you feel now that it's unfair, edit away. It's your journal and your decision!

So long as you don't think he would be hurt or offended by it, I'll let it stand. It's certainly what I was thinking/feeling during that dramatic drive, but it doesn't do him justice.

I think his only cavil would be to suggest that you wanted to say profane, not vulgar. *g*

Genial madman, though --- he'd like that.

Yes, he was "profane" rather than vulgar.
