And On My Home Front

Remember the job interview I had about a month ago?
I was excited about it, and rashly asserted that I would not be surprised to receive a job offer within the week.
A month later, I just found out that they gave the job to someone else.

My current temp assignment probably ends on May 21st - a week from Friday. I have no idea what I'm going to do the following Monday. Hopefully there will be another assignment for me.

Meantime, at least this past eight months have enabled me to become eligible for Unemployment again.

That's a shame. It can be hard to read interviews, plus, they may really like you but they have to choose ONE person etc etc. Hope something turns up for you!

I'm knowing how you're feeling. In the past, finding work has always been a piece of cake for me. I interviewed, I got the job. Cause and effect for 15 years. Now in the last year or so - bupkus. It's disconcerting.

The only "real jobs" I've gotten since I earned my Masters degree (1998) were given to me by 1) a best friend, and 2) a VP of a company I had worked for prior to getting my degree.
