2007 -- All That Mattered

I've seen the year in review memes, but as I look back there are only four events which count as major milestones.

May 31 - Lohain's death

June - started my underworld priestess training

July 1 - Moved out of the basement

October - had my first official meeting with a spiritual direction client


A lot of other things happened, good and bad, but those events colored everything else.


I had only one resolution for 2007: Start seeing spiritual direction clients. I don't take a lot of credit for actually fulfilling that resolution, since it was the seeking of that special individual, not my own focused efforts, which brought it about.

On reflection, I should simply thank Spirit for bringing us together to be gifts to each other, and leave it at that.


I've leaned hard on my friends this year, and feel like I haven't had a lot to give back. To those of you who have been patient, loving, supportive, encouraging, who left hugs and tears and words of affirmation and hope and empathy on this journal -- and have been there in other places of my life as well -- I thank you from the bottom of my heart.

I thank the gods especially for kateri_thinks, a_belletrist, oakmouse, _storyteller_, and Wolfling.


I have no new year's resolutions tonight.
I pray for peace in our world, and I rededicate myself to the priestess path that I am on.
I ask for the wisdom and courage to be the change I want to see in the world, and for the grace to rise above my own fear, intolerance, jealousy, and selfishness.
