It's amazing how much comfort it gave me to make the collages last night -- the one I posted and the one I made for myself. I love words so much, but sometimes I need to go let go of them and go straight to the emotion of images. Shaping them, placing them, balancing them was also a different kind of mental/creative engagement for me. It wasn't so much with the one I posted here, because the LJ formatting limited what I could do, but I spent at least an hour on a collage I did in PowerPoint, balancing each piece.
