WTF - Fire Drill?

4pm. Friday afternoon.
It's raining.
We've had to evacuate due to an unspecified "emergency in the building."

I was just about ready to go home, but now I can't get to my car because no one is being allowed into the parking areas.

Almost certainly not a fire drill. We always do them in the mornings and always mid-week. Probably a funny smell coming from an electrical room or something like that. I hope you're on your way home now!

According to someone on Jean's crew, the water pressure in the pipes dropped, and somehow that set off the fire alarm. If that is the case, perhaps it went off because the sprinkler system was compromised??

In any case, we stood around for about half an hour, then were allowed to go back in -- or out to our vehicles.
