Another Interview
Apr. 2nd, 2007 06:12 pmThe ever-delightful
jillwheezul asked me these questions. . .
1. What sort of experience did you have that indicated to you that you should follow a spiritual path in this life?
It wasn't a single experience, it was looking back along the path of my life and realizing that my spiritual life has always been one of my highest priorities and central concerns. Even during my period of atheism, after my existential crisis, I spent hours and hours journaling about what it meant to my existence if I didn't believe in God, and what that did to my ethics, and etc.
2. What was the bravest thing you have ever seen?
In person? Nothing comes to mind. Which is kind of sad. . .
3. It seems that writing comes easily to you. Is there some muse that helps you craft your thoughts into words?
No, there's not. There are people and spirits and themes which inspire me and sometimes demand that I write about them, but I don't get any help with the actual writing.
4. Have you found, in the last five years, any traits you see more clearly in both your mother and yourself?
I'd like to think that I am more generous than I used to be, and more like my mother in that way. I see more clearly my mother's patience, and I try to emulate that too.
5. Five words simply describing your goals for the next month...
