Still Standing

Both of my lovers, my sister and her child, and countless people at work are falling victim to this particularly vicious bug going around right now.

My throat hurts a bit, but so far I have managed to resist the worst of it.

My new boss starts Monday, and I have a lot to do to get ready.
I'm not 'worried' but I'm not 'excited' either.
It feels like I've been set up on a blind date.
Or an arranged marriage. Maybe that's closer to the truth, because he and I are stuck with each other and will have to either learn to get along and work together or have a very public divorce.

I'm praying that I remain healthy, that my daughter remains healthy (and that my parents will let her remain another night at their house), and that I get all the prep done that I need to do.

And that I never, ever again forget to subtract my share of the mortgage payment from my check register on payday. I knew that balance looked too good to be true.

I hope everyone is feeling better soon. It seems to be a particularly nasty bug ... I don't know what it is about this year, but the illnesses have been virulent. :(

My kids have been sick. My son is home today. I'm doing ok so far though. I hope your job situation works out well for you. *hugs*
