All these cards are from the Ancestral Path tarot -- with thanks to [livejournal.com profile] queenofhalves, who first introduced me to it.

The 2 of Staves is for a friend.

The rest are the cards that whispered to me as I flipped through the deck, grouped by constellations of energy.

If any whisper to you, feel free to carry them with you and listen and whisper back through the course of the day.

These next two are not actually a pair, I was just in a hurry when I was scanning.
Their energies are separate.
Or, on further reflection, maybe not.
I'll need to meditate on that.

And one more, not a tarot card, but one which jumped up at me from Photobucket and demanded to be shared.

I find myself instantly attracted to the two of sacred circles.

This image appeals to me because I have Bear as a totem (and a spirit bear as a friend), and because shamanism is part of my spiritual gifts, a part I need to devote more time to developing.

I'd love to hear more about your interaction with this card, if you're comfortable sharing.

That last one's face looks a lot like Anais Nin.

Is the two of staves the first one? I like it; the image speaks to me, for some reason. What does it mean?

Yes, the first image is the two of staves. Staves ("wands" in traditional decks) are associated with the element of Fire, with passionate energy, will, and etc.

The 2 of Staves/Wands shows a boat underway and someone watching from the shore. It can mean "ship coming in" -- the return on an investment for good or ill. I find this card more subtle. 2's are frequently about balance or choice. You may soon be finding out the consequences of an investment of energy or passion.

Imagine yourself into the card: who are you as you sit on your couch in your rich environment? What is your relationship to the ship and its voyage? Or do you feel more drawn to the ship? Ask the woman to talk to you. Who is she? What are her hopes, ambitions, fears, griefs, passions? Does she have counsel for you about where or how you invest your energy and passion?
