Mom Duties

I planned to spend this evening alone doing some serious processing in my paper journal.

My daughter wants very much for me to play on the Wii with her.

I really don't want to do it.
I want to go into my bedroom and shut the door and be alone.

But I so seldom actually play with her.
And she deserves my attention.

She can't have the entire evening -- but it will do us both good for me to spend an hour in her bedroom playing with her.

You're one step ahead of me, my dear. I have taken care of my mom duties for the evening, and now I'm dithering around not knowing what to do with myself ... though I KNOW there's something that's waiting for me to figure it out.
