Major Appliance!

I have just purchased my first major appliance! A new dryer will be arriving from Sears on December 2nd.

Our current dryer is lying on its side to prevent appalling squeaking when it runs -- but that seems to have caused problems with the heating element.

Time to put the old one out of its (and our) misery and get something of high enough capacity to meetthe needs of our large household.

You know this means you won't be happy with your washer. Once you get that drying humming along... mmmm... yummy.

I would love to get a new washer. . . but the old one isn't quite dead yet, and I think it's a good thing that we'll probably be able to wait until after the holidays to buy a new one.
