I buy more books than I can read, so it takes a lot for me to go back and re-read books. I have a couple of shelves dedicated to the books I've read and re-read over the years, but it's been years since I've touched some of them except to move them. I'm sure I'll read some of them again, in time, but these are the ones that I've re-read more than once within the past couple of years.
The Lions of Al-Rassan, by Guy Gavriel Kay
Shards of Honor, by Lois McMaster Bujold
Beloved Exile, by Parke Godwin
Lammas Night, by Katherine Kurtz
Neverwhere, by Neil Gaiman
(Anyone else read all these?)
As I go over to the shelf and stand there, looking at the familiar, beloved titles and covers, I think that I should remove Amazon.com from my bookmarks list and buy nothing else to read until I re-read everything on those three shelves. There is enough richness there to keep me going for months.
But I'm reading a wonderful book right now called The Fall of Kings, by Ellen Kushner, and I've just ordered a new book recommended by
_storyteller_ called The Darkness That Comes Before. So I guess I'm not going to be returning to my old friends in the very near future.

3. About that post: HUMINAH.
