Keeping it in Perspective

In an email this morning, a friend of mine observed that "a certain level of geekiness" was essential for anyone I was going to be involved with.
To which I responded:
Occasionally I wonder if there's something pathetic about being a 41 year old geek.
Then I decide I have better things to worry about.
I'm not living in my parents' basement after all.
Except. . Hurm. . . .
I'm living in my Ex-husband's basement.
Then I remembered that it may be the basement relative to his living quarters, but I share ownership of the house.
So that was okay then.
