I sure could have used them to cash in tonight!
Tonight was my daughter's elementary school talent night.
A talent night in the Affirming tradition. Any child who wanted to participate could participate, so long as the act was under 2 minutes and they showed up for all rehearsals.
No elementary school talent show should run more than 2-1/2 hours.
My daughter's skit was #61 of 68.
They were at 2-1/2 hours and counting when we left.
'Nuff said.
Except this: she did great.
(Of course!)
She's high as a kite.
I've got the shakes.

Date: 2006-02-11 05:12 pm (UTC)She was the bored receptionist.
Her voice carries unusually well for a little girl, and she had very good delivery of her lines, so she got some laughs, which was nice for her.
It was a very big audience, and there were a lot parents who were really into it. There was a lot of applause and cheers all night. I'm sure it was a great experience for the kids who performed. I felt rather Grinch-ish all evening in contrast.

And I'll bet the school didn't provide tequila shots, either...
