Do I Get Mommy Credit?

It was a long and stressful day today. I have no intention of going into the details. The commute home was long because of the late hour and the pouring rain. (Yes, it's raining again -- not that anyone is surprised.)
All the way home I was contemplating my two options: stopping at the neighborhood lounge and getting a drink and some bread with oil and basil, and spending some time decompressing and reading my book -- or going straight home to my daughter, who had been sick at home today.
Maternal duty won.
But when I got home, my daughter was feeling much better and playing with the twins, and she scampered upstairs with them shortly after I got home. She's still there now. She wouldn't have noticed if I had delayed another 30-45 minutes to take some time for myself.
I feel like I should get some extra credit mommy points to bank against future, less virtuous moments.
