She Wants to do What?
Sep. 12th, 2005 05:13 pmToday my daughter brought home from school the Instrumental Music Program Information sheet.
My side of the family has always been musical. Dad played the piano, mom is a marvelous singer, my sister played flute and sings, and I was in choirs and played clarinet, handbells, tenor sax and a bit of piano.
My daughter is stating emphatically that she wants to play cello.
Cello?
Don't get me wrong. The cello is a beautiful instrument.
But, cello?
I guess she latched onto it after a school concert and Meet-the-Instruments assembly.
But then, I'm just happy she wants to learn how to play an instrument. It will be interesting to find out if she will want to practice, or if she'll have to be pushed.

Date: 2005-09-13 12:50 pm (UTC)cello is cool
Date: 2005-09-13 12:18 pm (UTC)It's also much less painful to listen to than a violin, or (even worse) a clarinet in the beginning stages.
