Less Moody Blue

I did the second coat of blue paint in the bedroom today, and it looks much better: the coverage is even and the color a shade less intense. Tomorrow, after it has dried, I can push my dresser back against the wall, take the things that usually live on it (figurines, small chests, earring rack, etc.) off the kitchen table and put them back, and re-hang my picture. I'll try to get a picture to post.
Now that I feel good about the color and the finish, I can move on to the rest of the room -- but I'm going to have to primer those walls first. Hopefully I can get away with one coat of primer and one of color and not have to paint all the walls three times each -- but I'll do what I have to.
I really did not want to paint today, but the plain fact was that if it didn't happen today, nothing was going to get better in the kitchen or living room. And if I didn't do it, no one else would.
I feel like such a grown-up.

I'm not sure I want to do that now, because it would mean the undercoats of the next walls are different. Besides, the Ex has a couple of gallons of primer left over from re-painting his goddaughter's old apartment.
The biggest thing I've learned is to go with a "flat enamel" finish rather than semi-gloss. The semi-gloss is way too shiny!
The dark blue does make the room feel smaller than it did, but it also makes it more cozy. Then again, it's a fairly large room, so there was some room for "shrinkage".
Well done :)
