Monday Morning

Most days, I don't mind getting up and going to work. Some mornings I'm tired, but "tired" is different from "I really don't want to go there." This morning, I really don't want to go to work. It is too far from where I was all weekend, which is where I truly want to be: studying, engaged in spiritual exploration that is both intellectual and soul-full, in the company of others on the same path. Whatever I might say in my job interviews about how this is a good job for me right now, the fact is, I am not designed to be an administrative assistant.

I'll be fine once I get to work and become engaged again with the people there and my responsibilities. It's not a bad job.

But there is no joy there, either.
