bookchick gave me a countertop dishwasher about a month ago. Last night, thanks to my handyman friend, I finally finished putting together the kitchen cart I bought from Ikea to hold it, since it's too big for my counters.

It's now doing its first wash cycle.

In my laundry room.

The hose wouldn't attach to my kitchen sink. (Although I think I may have figured out how I can make it work, after wrestling with the sink in the laundry room.)

The other reason it's in the laundry room?
It's a water-based appliance.

Given my luck and history, it's going to explode and flood. I'll be happier if it happens in the concrete room with the drain in the floor.

But I have a dishwasher!!

It Worked!

The dishes are done.
Everything is clean and warm.
The floor is dry.

Whoopeee!
