To those of you who expressed an interest in my thesis a while ago. . .

First, I am sorry it's taken me so long to move on this. The local copy place is not in a convenient location, and with everything else going on, getting there has demanded more time and energy than I felt up to. It's not far away, just a slightly awkward route.

Second, I went there yesterday and found out that to make nine copies of an approximately 100 page document is going to cost $63 (and that's without any kind of binding or even stapling). Postage adds to that.

So, while originally I was intending to foot the bill for this myself, that's not going to be possible. I'm going to have to request $10 from each person who wants one, to defray the majority of the costs.

If you still want one, I can accept checks or Paypal. If you have my email address, you can email me directly, or leave a comment for my snail mail address or Paypal email -- my Paypal address is not the one connected to the LJ, so most of you don't have it.

Sorry about this.

For those coming late to the discussion: the thesis in question was written for my Masters degree in Comparative Religion and is called "A Seductive Hypothesis: The Sacred Prostitute in the Ancient and Modern Worlds." The focus is primarily historical and textual for the ancient part (challenging a lot of commonly held perceptions), and then looks at the various ways modern women have adopted the role, both as self-described sacred prostitutes and as an archetype/role model for blending sexuality and spirituality in a lifestyle that does not involve prostitution.
