This evening I had the pleasure of taking [livejournal.com profile] lexicat out for a "Welcome to the Neighborhood" dinner at the neighborhood grill. We don't have a lot in common beside the fact that we're both going to graduate school in the same city (different schools, different programs), and we both think that [livejournal.com profile] queenofhalves is a great person -- but it was a real pleasure to meet him face-to-face and chat. This was the first time I had the experience of meeting someone in RL who I had known only on LJ.

My first 500 word "response" for Hebrew Scriptures class is due to my prof by "Friday pm" which means I'll be writing it now that I'm back from dinner. I actually did about half of it at work today, which is good.

I am going to be trimming my Friends list this evening. I simply do not have the time to be a mother, a student, a full-time employee, a half-way decent hearth-tender, work on my personal spiritual practices, and keep up with all my LJ friends. Even those who stay on the list are not necessarily going to be read in the depth I have devoted to it in the past. I apologize to any whose feelings are hurt -- I simply need to put more of my time and energy into my child and my studies and my spiritual practice and LJ has become a major devourerer of my time and attention.
