Hm...I think we'd be sipp8ing on tea or Coke, munching on cookies or something, and having an interesting conversation about any number of interesting philosophical topics, or about books. :)
So will you bring a photo album with you when you visit?
Please let me know your itinerary when you have it. I'd be happy to pick you up at the airport (and/or drop you off), unless Alex claims first dibs.
I'd also love to take a day of vacation so we can stay up very late one night and have the entire next day to ourselves. Again -- dependent on the time you have available for all your friends.
Having a long and deep talk... much like those we have had before that no one but us understands. Even when we clash, we are always sisters, family, and you are more dear to me than I can say. I miss you.
queenofhalves was the first kindred spirit I found on LJ. She's much younger than I am (twenty-something) but she's a Religion and Lit Ph.D. student at Boston U, and -- like me -- has a spiritual past that strongly involves both Neo-Paganism and Christianity, although she comes down much more on the Neo-Pagan side now, while my style is more Christian.
saskia139 is closer to my own age, also exploring beyond the limits of traditional Christianity, currently interested in Lady Julian of Norwich. She's also a writer. I'm not sure of how much of her stuff is now friends-only. She and I connected on spirituality and fandom, although she's much less into fandom than she used to be.
Both of these women are bright, articulate, funny, spiritual, warm-hearted people. I'd certainly recommend getting to know them.
Well, once we got over the shock of me being teleported unexpectedly into your room...and I got over feeling all shy because we've shared all this stuff on Lj, and yet in other ways we're complete strangers...well then I guess we might have a drink and start chatting and making some contingency plans - seeing as how we don't know if, when, or how this teleporter wil take me back, and I don't have anything except the clothes I'm standing in (and let's just hope it didn't teleport me while I was in the shower or anything) etc. :,)
Readying the towels, brooms, and mops we're going to need to clean up your house post-flooding this week. And I would be going through your ipod files to see which ones I'd rip for myself.

I had the unpleasant discovery this morning that RealPlayer, unlike iTunes, does not want to burn a CD using tracks taken directly from the iPod. This puts a serious crimp in music sharing. (Which is part of the point, I'm sure.) But if you were here, I'd be happy to re-rip any music you wanted!
