. . . but I'm just back from my first session of "Christian Scriptures" class, and won't be able to go to sleep for awhile because of the buzz. (The class looks very promising!)
So, thanks to
ad_lumen, here's a few factoids about Yours Truly:
1. What is the geekiest part of your music collection?
My 1970's pop: The Carpenters, Captain and Tennille, Barry Manilow, Shaun Cassidy
2. What do you eat when you raid the fridge late at night?
Cold chicken
3. What is your secret guaranteed weeping movie?
Not a secret now: The Last Starfighter, of all things. (There are more conventional weepers for me, but that one was the mostly-secret.)
4. If you could have plastic surgery, what would you have done?
Liposuction around my middle and backside.
5. Do you have a completely irrational fear?
Elevators. Hate 'em.
6. What is the little physical habit that gives away your insecure moments?
Good question. I'm not sure. Hand fidgets?
7. Are you a pyromaniac?
Not technically, but yes, I love fires and I love to play with them.
8. Do you have too many love interests?
I don't have *any* love interests at the moment, but my historical tendency is love more than one person at a time. Sometimes that's been awkward.
9. Do you know anyone famous?
Nope. I could tell you a story about being on stage with Ian McKellan once, but I can't claim to "know" him.
10. Describe your bed:
Full-sized mattress on a basic frame.
I want to get something more regal, but finances don't permit at the moment, and I haven't yet found something I really love.
11. Are you spontaneous or planned?
More planned
12. who would play you in a movie?
Julia Ormond or Jodie Foster (Jodie would have to color her hair dark)
13. Do you know how to play poker?
Yes, but not well
14. What do you carry with you at all times?
cell phone and iPod
15. What do you miss most about being a kid?
freedom from responsibility
16. Are you happy with your given name?
I'm content with my first name. I changed my middle name.

Basic white. I want to paint it but haven't figured out what color yet.
19. What was the last song you were listening to?
"Let the River Run" performed by Michael Ball
20. Have you ever been in a play?
A couple of times -- usually in roles written for men (Horatio in Hamlet, The Judge in Whose Life is It Anyway), plus the Chorus of Fiddler on the Roof. I've also directed and stage managed plays (7 in each role) and directed a video.
21. Have you ever been in love?
Many times.
22. Do you talk a lot?
If it's a subject I feel confident about
23. Do you like yourself and believe in yourself?
Yes
24. Do transient, homeless, or starving people sometimes annoy you?
No. Mostly they make me feel guilty and helpless.
25. Do you consider yourself to be a nice person?
Most of the time. But I am perfectly capable of being selfish and ruthless, and acting on those traits with complete awareness of it.
26. Do you spend more time with your girlfriend/boyfriend or your friends?
I don't have a boyfriend.
I spend most of my non-work time alone. By choice. I need a significant amount of alone time to remain mentally stable.
27. What is your ideal marriage location?
What in the world is a "marriage location"?
Not that it matters. I've been married, I didn't like it much, and I don't plan on doing it again.

It would be nice to be very good at the piano.
29. Favorite fabric?

Depends on my mood and what else I'm doing.
35. What do you order at a bar?
Diet Coke with vodka in it.
Or a Lemondrop
36. Have you ever pierced your body parts?
Only my ears. I got an extra hole in one earlobe for a while, but let it close after about a year.
37. Do you have tattoos?
No. I've thought about it, but never felt strongly enough about it to go through with it.
39. Do you drive a stick?
I can, but I prefer an automatic
40. What's one trait you hate in a person?
Condescension
41. What kind of watch do you wear?
I have a two-tone Bulova that I purchased because it looked like a Raymond Weil Parsifal
42. Most frivolous purchase?

45. Favorite writing instrument?
Fine point blue pen, preferrably writing on narrow ruled paper
46. Do you prefer to stand out or blend in?

What's *not* to like?? I like theology, fantasy, historical fiction, essays, books about film making. . . .

Donate usable parts for saving lives and doing scientific study, burn what's left over
52. How many online journals do you read regularly?
I have about 19 LJ friends who post reguarly

Team sports
54. If you don't like a person, how do you show it?

55. Do you cry in front of your friends?
Yes. I suppose part of my definition of a friend is someone I feel safe crying in front of. I try not to do it very often.
56. What kind of first impression do you think you give to people?
That depends on where I am. In a general social situation, I probably give the impression of being aloof because I'm shy and self-contained unless I'm very comfortable with the people around me.
57. What's one thing you like to do alone?
Sleep. I like having my bed to myself.

60. Favorite communication method?

Who's pouring them?
Probably three.
62. Do you think you're cute?

But I am never cute.
63. Do you have problems changing clothes in front of friends?
Not friends of the same sex.
