Raven Kalderas has created a gorgeous online shrine for Hela.

It's fascinating to me to see how much Ereshkigal and Hela have in common, how the energy resonating out of the words and images on this shrine connects with the Ereshkigal energy within me.

It's not surprising, of course. . . But I feel strengthened in my own gnosis in their reflections.

Hela has a great deal in common with Babh's Death aspect. Just because Babh presents Herself to me as a doting grandmother (most of the time) doesn't at all negate how cold and terrible She can be in the correct situation. There has been more than once I've gone to "Grandmother" for comfort and reassurance and found myself looking into the cold eyes of Death instead. But it's always what I truly needed.

*nods* She has parallels with my Lady of Death also. The dark sisters have a surprising amount in common from one culture to another, certainly within Europe.

Actually, scratch the last three words. I can think of non-European death goddesses who are very like this too.
