X-posted, with permission, from FetLife:
For those who haven't heard it - I'm putting together an anthology on polytheists and faith called "Moments of Clarity, Moments of Faith" and I need well-written essays by polytheists (between 2K and 8K words) about those moments that reified your faith and brought it home that this was all real, true, and right.
Too often polytheism is looked at as superstition, fairy tales, or just less "mature" religion than pantheism, panentheism, monotheism, or atheism. I'm looking for thoughtful essays about the nature of faith for a polytheist, drawing on personal experiences. If you're interested, they can get sent as a Word or Word Perfect doc to my email at cauldronfarm@hotmail.com. There's no pay, as this is a POD book, but all contributors will get a pdf copy of the book when it's done.

No deadline was given, but it sounds like he's been working on this for a while. I'm pondering whether or not I have something to submit. Even if not, this is a book I definitely want to read!

Date: 2010-11-17 04:27 am (UTC)For me, whenever someone presents such an opportunity, my whole being shuts down and I can't remember any of my sacred lesson. They float about like confusing clouds of awareness that I know something, but can't remember what or why, until I let go of the memory of the opportunity itself.

Date: 2010-11-17 01:52 pm (UTC)I actually feel rather like you do: I know I have experiences worth sharing and the ability to communicate them well, but if someone is asking for a specific kind of essay my mind almost goes blank.
But you make a good point about going back and mining my journal. . . Thanks.
