What does the term "spiritual formation" mean to you?

Is it a concept that you consider relevant to your spiritual path?

If so, can you elaborate on what it looks like?

I don't even know what "spiritual formation" is supposed to mean in its basic connotation.

I've actually never heard of this. It brings to mind either the formation/cultivation of spirituality, or formation/appearance a la a v-shaped flock of geese or Blue Angels. :-)

for me, spiritual formation is the process of creating a structure to explore, and then exploring, one's relationship with the divine and one's own self, with the intent to create greater depth and self-knowledge.
