There needs to be an Alliance of Pagan Spiritual Directors.

I am all for interfaith learning and enrichment, but I'm tired of having most of my search for resources in spiritual direction resulting in 95% Christian, 4% Jewish, 1% Other spiritual paths. And I haven't been all that impressed with the "Other" resources when compared with the depth of the Christian resources.

Yes, it can be "translated" but not always, and not without effort.

That effort could be good for me. . . but it would still be nice to have a community of peers who speak the same language and who have similar reference points.

I think one of the issues with the "other" percentile getting together is that even if we don't speak the language of the majorities or major minorities, we don't necessarily speak each others' language either.

I find that in all cases, translation is necessary, even among the pagans.

I agree with you about translation often being necessary even among Pagans, but it would be refreshing to have to translate from a different Pagan perspective after reading book after book which uses Jesus and the Bible as its primary context for discussing the principles and purposes of spiritual direction.
