How can I have been working on the Ereshkigal devotional for almost a year and only just now realizes that it must include a version of The Descent of Inanna told from Ereshkigal's perspective?!?

I'm going to start writing. . .

I certainly hope so!

The challenge for me will be to keep up the poetic form of the original, using the repeating lines characteristic of Sumerian style. But so far, so good. . . .

YES!
I am still debating writing a piece on/for Neti for that collection, as I've already done the 2 husbands... but the right inspiration has yet to strike.

I'd certainly love to have another piece from you, if inspiration does strike!

Also, if you know anyone who you think would be interested in writing something in the next month or two, please extend the invitation to do so, and/or put them in touch with me. The devotional is still slimmer than I would like.

Do you have a call for contributors? If so, I would love to put it out there.

I've finally received the first of what I've realized are the pieces I've been waiting for, from two experienced priestesses who alternated as Ereshkigal and Inanna in four rituals. The first one arrived a couple of days ago and it was amazing.

The third anniversary of my partner's death is coming up on May 31st. It was his death which was the gateway to my becoming a priestess of Ereshkigal. I've decided that the best way I can observe that anniversary is finalizing content and sending out the official release forms.

I feel very bad that it's taken this long, but between my own grief process and losing my job last spring, there's just been too much need to focus on basic survival to give this project the attention and consistent focus it's deserved.
