No internet at home yet. It was supposed to be hooked up today, but it turns out that I have to rent a U-Haul to get rid of furniture I found out that Wolfling didn't want to keep. Big thrift store run in the very near future to drop off, plus needing to haul my dining room table to a friend's apartment for safe keeping for an unknown period of time.

I'm seriously stressed out, but hoping that as each constructive step forward is taken the stress level will go down.

Of course I'm way behind on LJ. Please let me know if there's anything important that I've missed.

We still have a couple of days of unpacking to do, and I will ensure that Wolfling's room is put into reasonable order, but once I can close the door for the last time on the old place I can start putting energy into moving forward career-wise. I have spiritual direction clients to connect with to set up initial sessions (including one from the former MyCo), a business plan to write, a workshop to update about BDSM and the Sacred so I can present it locally, and etc. Can't wait to start!

In the meantime: the new place is cozy. Our windows look out over a heavily wooded gully. We fall asleep to the sounds of frogs and wake up to birdsong. Wolfling has been taking morning tea on the balcony, which makes me smile. Last night we played Wii together, since the only tv in the house is now in the living room and the game system is no longer living in her room. I'm going to invest in a few additional games for us to play together. (Wii Star Wars!)

You may want to check with Salvation Army or Goodwill or wherever you want to donate to - sometimes they will come pick up large furniture items. Might save you some time and money there.

I second calling the Salvation Army or Goodwill before you plonk down money for a U-haul. It'll definitely be less of a hassle for you to just have them come and get it.

I recently posted something that I think you'll appreciate. http://sweetlycorrupt.livejournal.com/24581.html

Your new home sounds lovely and it sounds like you're enjoying it. Good luck with your new career!

I'm so glad to hear the new place is cozy. ^_^ And that you and Wolfling are playing together.

For me, my big thing so far is that I finally finished my rough draft for my novel and I and a couple others get to start picking it over to get it ready.

I'm sorry things are so stressful for you as far as the move. It's the nature of the beast, I suppose. Hopefully, things start to ease. Your apartment sounds wonderful. :)

I'm curious what your plans are for your business. How do you intend to conduct this spiritual direction? I'd be very interested hearing about it.

Maybe now that I don't have my day job we can actually get together some time! I'm so sorry that we haven't been able to connect as originally planned.

Spiritual direction takes the form of a conversation between the director and the directee -- and the Divine. The questions, concerns, joys, and hopes of the directee are the basis for the encounter. The director bears witness, asks questions, offers suggestions, under the guidance of Spirit. It's a very simple but profound process.

congratulations on your move-- and it sounds like you and your daughter are having a good time together.

I was wondering if you've ever read this book called Climbing the Tree of Life...I'm looking into some hermetic approaches alongside the Jewish ones and thought this book sounded interesting.
