ad_lumen because I feel like posting but am not quite awake enough to write anything of substance.
1. Your name spelled backwards: soq
2. Where were your parents born? Seattle, WA and Akron, OH
3. What is the last thing you downloaded onto your computer? A photo of Viggo Mortensen standing in the desert. He is posed so it looks like he is holding the sun in his hand.
4. What's your favorite restaurant? The Berkshire Grill, my neighborhood joint. It doesn't have the best food, but it's a convenient and comfortable place to stop and get some downtime for myself.
5. Last time you swam in a pool? When my mother, daughter and I visited the Kah-Nee-Ta resort back around the year 1999.
6. Have you ever been in a school play? Yes. My first time onstage was in the chorus of Fiddler on the Roof, which was a high school & community production. Then I went back to college, became a theater major. I played Horatio in Act I of Hamlet in a major English class production, and the Judge in Whose Life is it Anyway for a student-directed play. But most of my "school play" experience is as stage manager and director of college plays.
7. How many kids do you want? I have one, which is more than I wanted, truth be told.
8. Type of music you dislike most? Anything that involves lots of loud noise and screaming.
9. Are you registered to vote? Yes.
10. Do you have a car? Yes. A generic four-door, silver Ford.
11. Have you ever ridden on a moped? No
12. Ever prank call anybody? No
13. Ever get a parking ticket? Once
14. Would you go bungee jumping or skydiving: It would take a major effort -- or a very special combination of place/time/companionship
15. Furthest places you ever traveled? By miles, it would be Scituate, MA, where my ex's parents live. By other standards: Tijuana, where I took part in a service mission during high school.
16. Do you have a garden? There are gardens around the house, but they are not mine. I've never had any particular interest in gardening.
17. What's the size of your bed? Full
18. Do you really know all the words to your national anthem? Yes
19. Bath or Shower, morning or night: Always a morning shower. Sometimes a long, hot shower in the evening to help decompress
20. Best movie you've seen in the past 4 months? Chocolat
21. What's the next movie you want to see? Shall We Dance

23. Have you ever broken any hearts? Several

27. Who was the last person you went out to dinner with and where did you dine? I went to California Pizza Kitchen with my daughter last night

29. Best thing in the world? Being "in the flow" in some kind of activity

31. Have you ever won a trophy? Yes, while competing in debate in high school
32. What is your favorite board game? I don't really have one. When I play games, it's RPG's or cards.
33. What is your dream car? A van.
34. Ever order an article from an infomercial? No
35. Coke or Pepsi? Definitely Coke
36. Have you ever had to wear a uniform to work? During two summers at McDonalds
37. Last thing you bought at a pharmacy? Generic allergy medicine for my daughter
38. Who's your daddy? My father is a gentleman with two PhD's who resigned from the ministry before I was born, retired after a career in public education (ending as superintendent of school disticts), and is currently serving as Chairman of the Board of Trustees for an HMO.
39. Who would you like to meet? Right now, I'm most aware of failing to make it to a reading by Richard Bach, at which two of my friends met and conversed with him. But I also like

40. Do you believe in magic? Yes, although my sceptical/rational mind often struggles against it.
41. What features do you find most attractive in the opposite sex? Intensity is catnip to me, which has sometimes led to some poor decisions in my romantic life. For the long haul: the ability to love me for who and what I am, intelligence, and a sense of perspective.
42. Where would you go for a romantic evening? Someplace conducive to long, private conversation.
43. How many pairs of shoes do you own? 3
44. Last song stuck in your head? One of the main themes from the LOTR soundtracks.
