Gray Eyes and Owls

Last night, the most memorable moments of a long and complicated dream involved an old man in a dark suit asking if he could look deeply into my eyes. I want to find out if I can see owls there, he said.

When he was finished with his long, deep look, I asked him what he had seen. Pools of gray fire, was his response. I found this kind of odd, since my eyes are green. Perhaps even in the dream I wondered if his perceiving gray was a result of how deeply I was drawn to a mention, on a friends' blog, of "a gray-eyed lass fighting beside her lord."

It was only upon waking that I put owls and gray eyes together and thought of Athena.

He also told me that I too often make decisions based on the circumstances of shallow, temporary events, rather than on the deeper, truer things I am aware of.

Athena is my primary goddess contact. She is quite something! Although I am sure that the dream has significance for you personally, I can't help noticing the synchronicity of your dreaming of her as I was plucking up the courage to expand my horizons in certain areas. You know what I'm talking about. :-) This is one of many ways in which she and Manannan 'clue-by-four' me, to quote our mutual friend, Oakmouse. LOL

Good grief! I clicked on your Athena tag out of curiosity, and found your post, and my reply. What I never saw until today was your offer. I think my inbox was going through one of its hiccupping patches at the time you replied and it never reached my inbox. Thankyou so much for thinking of me. I would have taken you up on the offer had I known! :-)

With the Greeks these days?
I swear, they're mobilizing!
In the last week, I have gotten Ares and Hera, coming up to make nice.
They are also popping up all over my circle of friends far and wide.
I was thinking, I bought Cyprus, Lust and Love Drawing incense from OWA, I'd be more than happy to pack you up a sample of each and ship them out to you.
