Yes, the prospect of doing academic work again is very attractive.
But I find it irritating to be asked to write a 3-page paper about "what do you consider to be the main points made by the author" and "engage in a dialogue with ideas from the text including some of your own reflections, experiences and questions."
This is a 500-level course. Either ask us to write something with some meat to it, or just trust that we know how to prepare for class.
