I finally got my camera re-charged, so here are the photos of the altar I made for Ereshkigal. The only things she specified were the black candle and the collage. There's one photo of the altar and one of the collage by itself.

Click once for a larger view, then again for full size view. The larger collage image is borderline worksafe.

Oh, wow that's beautiful. You have some really amazing items and photos in there.

I wish I had been responding with more regularity to the powerful things you've posted about. I've had a difficult enough time finding the words for my own stuff! But please know I have been reading with much interest.

Thank-you for the comment. I know that more than a few of my friends here read regularly but feel -- for a variety of reasons -- that they don't have anything significant to say in response. But any comment is always appreciated.

Love your icon, btw!

Beautiful altar, although I am surprised you are willing to make such an apparently dedicated & sacred space so public. I found the pic & you by browsing 'priestessing.' You are obviously an expereinced priestess but do appear to be in thrall to Ereshkigal. Forgive me if I appear impertinent or disrespectful - that is not my intention. I'm simply curious as to why so many women in particular appear to need spirtual 'teachers.' Feel free to ignore this comment if you consider I have overstepped the bounds of good manners. Blessed Be

Sorry This Has Taken So Long. ..

Hi, I appreciated your questions -- so much so that I kept waiting for an extended period of quiet to sit down and give them the response they deserved.

Because they were such good questions, I made my response into a new post: http://caveofstars.livejournal.com/26160.html

I welcome further discussion.

Blessed be -- and Happy Solstice!

*smiles* I just put the picture collage as my desktop background. I'm rearranging my own altar tonight. Leaving as few objects on my purple velvet altar as possible. Need some space. Just me and my dragon.
