Home network connection has been unreliable for the last couple of days, making commenting on entries difficult.

When I got home yesterday, the Ex's SO told me that when she had come down to get the laundry there was water in the laundry room, my entry way and bathroom. She cleaned it all up. The Ex is calling Roto-Rooter today. I had forgotten that a tree's roots are interfering with our drain. This evening the Ex and I are going to chat about removing the tree rather than spending a couple of hundred dollars on plumbing every six months or so -- not to mention the fact that I'm fed up with the whole water situation. I bought the Ex's SO several packages of bath salts when I went to the grocery store to show my appreciation.

The Child's first day of third grade went very well. Her teacher seems to have her act together, which was not the case with her first and second grade teacher (same guy -- we tried to get her transfered out of the class, but it took a long time).

I had a very good session with my spiritual director yesterday. I came out of it feeling lighter than I have in a while, and with plenty to think about. Hopefully I will be able to do a more complete update later, as I am typing in haste before taking a quick shower (don't want to stress the drains) and running off to work.

Happy day, everyone!

Thank you. I certainly don't hear those words often these days.

It's one reason why I'm looking forward to getting back to school at the end of the month. I get nice affirmation at work, but it's not for the things that are most important to me.

Maybe it's a person who stages a play with Buddha-like serenity? ;)

What is a spiritual director?

How did you get yours?

How has having a spiritual director helped you?

I just posted a full entry to answer this, since a couple of people asked. Let me know if you have more questions!
