The bad news: my car has died. The good news: after sputtering and hitching for several miles, it didn't finally give out until I was in front of my ex-husband's house (where I was dropping off Wolfling), and he has a nice little parking space between his primary and secondary spaces that he's letting me use. It should be easy for the tow truck to get in. The other bad news: there are no rental car places open on Sunday late afternoon. The good news: Lyft got me home for just ovr $10. At this time I don't know if either of my mechanics are open tomorrow, or if I'll have to wait until after Christmas to even get it picked up. At least all my Christmas errands are done, and my car died *before* I got on the road tomorrow for dinner. The last time my car died it was just before Thanksgiving a couple of years ago. I don't think it likes the holidays.

Wishing your car a prompt and inexpensive resurrection, and you a Merry Christmas in spite of it all! *hugs*

Thank you! It wasn't inexpensive, but I was reassured that I am a long way from the point of diminishing returns on repair vs replacement.

That's good news!
