Things went reasonably smoothly on Saturday. Sunday we did a lot of unpacking. Today comes the challenge of dealing with what we're not taking with us.

There are two separate issues: my dining room set, which is going on loan, and the for-charity odds and ends, which include Wolfling's bunkbed and media cabinet -- both of which she has decorated extensively with colored markers. There are also two bookshelves.

I may just call U-Haul this morning to see about renting a small truck to move the going-away furniture, since it turned out to be more than I'd expected. I'm usually a better planner.

I'm stressing out about all this, but trying to focus on the fact that I *will* get it resolved.

God, I know what you mean. I have a desk (which didn't sell on craig's list) and a couch I have to figure out how to move today to Goodwill.

Were you able to work this out?

I realized too late that I should have called and had Goodwill come pick my items up!

You know, I checked the Seattle Goodwill website, and it said they do NOT pick up anymore. Fortunately, at the last minute, someone bought the desk for rather cheap and the couch (which was a sectional) fit in my parents' jeep. It was handled rather well.

How did things work out for you? I'm sure you've since posted, but my back hurts, so I must run off to soak and do some healing and patch my poor body up, else I'd check tonight. :)
